It’s a rich source of chromium, to maintain normal blood sugar levels. Brewer’s yeast is a popular supplement for breast feeding women, traditionally used to increase milk supply.

How is it made? Brewer's yeast is made from Saccharomyces cerevisiae, a one-celled fungus, grown on wheat and barley.

Serving Suggestion:

Brewer's Yeast can be added to food or smoothies, and be used in beer. Brewer's yeast will not make your bread rise because it is inactive. 

Great for making lactation cookies by adding 3 tablespoons of brewer's yeast to your flour.
